I'd like to dedicate the following verse from The Trial (Pink Floyd - The Wall) to charity:

Crazy,
Toys in the attic I am crazy,
Truly gone fishing.
They must have taken my marbles away.

Sing it with me, charity! (I'll sing it with you because I don't want you to feel alone... and let's face it; I'm a bit nuts too.)
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I guess you didn't read my post. "When God had told Joseph not to tell anyone about the newly revealed doctrine, and he was backed into a corner between answering and obeying God, he chose to obey God. Which is considered a lie by those who don't understand the requirement to obey God first."

Oh I read it alright, and I understand that you still cannot admit Joseph Smith lied. Instead you had to whitewahs it by pointing out that it would only be consider a lie to those who were spiritually deficient.

A lie is a lie. You're still hopping around the answer.

Why can't you just say "Yes, Joseph lied"?

I have to go away, Kevin. Or else I will be temped to beat up on you

Oh I can take it if you can. Stick around, and let's see how long you can keep ignoring the request for a straighforward answer.

Again, did Joseph Smith lie?

You're the one insisting Mormons give straightforward answers, yet you can't bring yourself to answer this without some apologetic rhetoric thrown in to mitigate its significance.

Nor does it mean two paragraphs of apologetic fluff. A yes no question is a yes no question. Whatever "straightforward" answer you provide, one of these two words must be found therein somewhere. But you don't provide the straight truth. You can't. You have to revert to apologetic mode and obfuscate.

We know Joseph Smith lied. Historians know Joseph Smith lied.

He lied. It is a fact.

We can say it because it is truth. Are you afraid of the truth?

If not, then just say it.

I've taken tests recently at a community college where I answered true or false. Those are one word answers.

You can't bring yourself to do it because your veneration of Smith is more important to you than the truth.

Just look at how you're acting here. So scared to state a basic truth.

I gave Charity a choice of six alternate reponses, and she hasn't given a yeah or nay to those, either.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.
