Someone referred to Wade as a "needy attention whore" on Wade's "What's wrong with me?" thread, and it got me thinking that there's a little bit of that in all of us. Yes, we say that we're here for entertainment, and for most of us that's true for the most part. But I can't help but think that perhaps there's also a need for validation. Even the insulting, vulgar, and self-righteous posts seem to have an undercurrent of wanting to be right and to be valued for being right.

I know that there's a part of me that likes being liked by other people, and I think that shows in my posts. I'm not proud of that neediness, but there it is.
