When You Are A God Do You Get To Be Snazzy And Creative?
Can you deviate at all from the God that you worship, as LDS, when you become a God over your own planet? If so, then would that in someway make the LDS God less than perfect?
Any change from the LDS God would insinuate that God was not perfect? So are you a clone, essentially, of the perfect LDS God when you become a God?
Sheesh, I hope that makes sense!

What kinds of things might God have deviated from?
Now, if we're talking like drowning an entire world, and telling men to lop off other passed out men's heads, then, yes, I'd think God has deviated from the path.
Since Packer has his CaEMS, I'd imagine this is the kind of God he is going to be. A ruthless, no-nonsense, you disobey me and you die, I'll implode your life and make it a living hell of suffering if you have sex before marriage kind of god. But, then I guess he wouldn't really be deviating from the God that he worships. Now, GBH, as a kind, loving old man, there is the deviation. Heaven has no place for those kinds of people!!!

If there's one thing I've learned from this board, it's that consensual sex with multiple partners is okay unless God commands it. - Abman

Yeah, you can do what you wish. I have a few ideas I need to try out. That pesky waiting to get ultimate power has so far slowed my experiments.

So the God you worship screwed up somehow? You can improve on God's perfection?
Nope, but there is more than one perfection. Just like two people can be equally beautiful but look nothing alike.

Is the God you worship not considered the ultimate in perfection?
You're essentially telling me you can make choices (creative decisions) that deviate from the God you worship and that does not in someway make Him less than perfection?

Scottie, when you were LDS did you think about being a God?
Yes.
One thing I decided is that I will not make genders. My beings will reproduce by dropping spores off of themselves.
Can you imagine how many problems we could avoid if there was no sexual attraction?
Oh, and my beings won't need sleep either.

Stop the bulls*it.
Mormons who become Gods will have no choice, no agency, no decision making power. You will do exactly what your God did, and his God did. You will create worlds identical to what has gone on before, have sex for billions of years with possibly thousands of wives, and make worlds in order to bring forth the eternal salvation of mankind. Nothing else matters.
Quit with the "I won't make this... I won't do this... I'll do this" crap.
Mormonism isn't about choices. It isn't about free will or agency. It is all about strict obedience.
You really think you're going to do what you want? What a load of crap. You will do what you are told or you will not be a God.
Mormonism isn't about choice or agency or freedom.
Mormonism is about obedience.
The choice is not yours. Loose yourself in Jesus Christ and become like him - not like you. He did what his father did, and his father did what his father did. If you decide to change the rules, then you are nothing more than a deceiver.
It is a long line of pure obedience.
Obey. Obey. Obey.
