But sacrament is nothing to do with Joseph Smith. Sacrament was administered by Christ well before Joseph Smith. Many if not all Christian denominations administer sacrament. I am sure Harmony has her reasons, just as have we all for going to church.
How are you and your wife by the way?

The sacrament as administered in the Mormon chapels is done based on the teachings of Joseph Smith. Therefore, you must believe in the divinity of Smith's so called revelation and restoration to believe that the Mormon administration of the sacrament is divine and correct.Imwashingmypirate wrote:But sacrament is nothing to do with Joseph Smith. Mormons scoff at the way other religions administer the sacrament to their patrons, especially the catholics with their wafers and wine.

There you have it then.Imwashingmypirate wrote:Ok then. The thing I dislike about Methodist sacrament is that people have to kneel before the Vicar and those not confirmed just get a pat on the head.
You cannot be a Mormon "christian" without believing that Smith was who they claim he was.
My observation of harmony is she does not believe that Smith was who he and the LDS church claim he was, therefore why does she keep up the charade?

That is bullshaloney, Boaz, and you know it. There is nothing in the sacrament that mentions Joseph at all. And no one believes Joseph was divine. Where you get this stuff is beyond me.

And other religions scoff at Mormons for the same reasons. So what?
