How are you and your wife by the way?
The sacrament as administered in the Mormon chapels is done based on the teachings of Joseph Smith. Therefore, you must believe in the divinity of Smith's so called revelation and restoration to believe that the Mormon administration of the sacrament is divine and correct.

Mormons scoff at the way other religions administer the sacrament to their patrons, especially the catholics with their wafers and wine.

Hmmm...well, I guess I don't fall into the typical Mormon mode then. To me, the Sacrament is the sacrament. I have taken the sacrament at a Catholic church, a methodist church, and a Presbyterian church.

Taking the sacrament is the act of remembering Christ's sacrifice. That's what it's all about. To me, it really doesn't matter what building you do it in, which includes home.

We have had Church cancelled a couple of times here before as well, when we have had severe ice. We had our own cozy little "Sacrament Meeting". LOL The girls drew pictures, we read a couple of scriptures, had a prayer, ate a great stew, and watched football for the rest of the day.

I can't remember how the Methodists or Presbyterians do it, but you should not take communion at a Catholic mass if you have not been confirmed. Instead, you should approach the priest with your arms crossed, and receive a blessing from the priest instead. Just so you know. I've known a few who have been sensitive about this.

It was an Anglican Church that I was visiting with a friend when I was on business in Canada. This particular church was a little more progressive than the standard Roman Catholic church. The option was left open to each individual.

Ah - Anglican does not equal Catholic. Yeah, they're not as tight about that.

I went to a Palm Sunday ceremony. It was absolutely breathtaking. The music was incredible.

We've had church canceled because of snow storms before. We were admonished to go shovel an elderly members driveway and walk instead.

Strangely enough, I can't eat much beef, pirate. But I do love beef vegetable soup thickened into a nice stew.

7" and still snowing!

7 inches??? You call THAT snow?

Amateur!

Yeah, well, when they close the roads because the snowplow slid off the road into the ditch, it's time to batten down the hatches and make a nice stew. :-) We haven't had a storm like this is years. And it's a dry powder, so it doesn't pack worth squat. Can't even make a decent snowman, although we could play a mean game of Duck Duck Goose, if we had any kids around.

It's simmering, developing the flavors. The house smells divine. Quite the smell to wake up to, after a lovely Sunday afternoon nap (and it's still snowing!)

It is just so unfair....
You live in such a wonderful climate....
And it sucks here, down South....
What would I give for seeing single flake of snow.....
