Here's the problem with free speech:
It hurts people's feelings.
I'll tell you what I do know about MADB. It's a sham. It's not designed to be anything other than a propaganda tool on behalf of the Mormon church. But... That's what floats their boat. More power to the people that want to play in MADB's sandbox, by their rules, in order to make them feel validated. The way in which its moderated only allows for the idea that Mormonism is true, and everyone is just niggling the finer points of that reality.
This is so off base. It is an apologetic board! APOLOGETIC. Defense of a point of view. That's what apologetic means. You obviously have not played in that sandbox much. Anyone can say anything they want as long as they are civil. It is just that anti-Mormons seem to lose their manners when they leave the Church. They can only respond in invective and obscene and blasphemous ways. There are several people here who are not members of the Church who post regularly on the MADB board with no problems. The nice guys.

See what I mean? You lost it.
antishock8 wrote:And to say such a thing at MADB will get you banned in short order. That, right there, should be a red flag for anyone who values free speech, and the free exchange of ideas.
No, only those people who can't stay civil. Free speech does not require attacking others. When you learn that, you can very nicely post on MADB. But you have to grow up first.

The great thing about a place like this, from what I see, is you can come, or you can go. Whatever. Welcome to the Internet. Welcome to reality. That's how things are. That's how things should be. If your feelings are hurt in a place like this, then grow up, grow a thick skin, or leave. Your tone, your posting style, the level of eruditeness you lend your posts all fall on you. And that's the way it ought to be.
Same as on the MADB. If you don't spit on the other kids, don't bite and kick, you can stay and play. If you are a bully you have to go on a time out. Rules of the real world.

See what I mean about needing to grow up. You are spitting again.
