Nehor,

Actually, I’d like to think that you might entertain the concept of genuine thinking.

But, that would be wishful thinking on my part -- maybe not.

I think you might respond to the wine issue and the tea and coffee issue.
It must be on another thread.

It’s understandable that some might look at the tragedy of alcoholism and conclude (or manufacture religious dogma) the no wine is the only way.

Yet no one (almost) looks at the great number of fatalities in cars and accidents which leave people paralyzed for life and says: Cars are dangerous and therefore no one (in our religion) should own or drive or ride in a car.

But few do that. The Amish do that but the faith base for it is slightly different. They attempt to avoid worldly devices. So, they use horses and buggies. Most (conservative Amish) do not use electricity supplied by the power company. Some have generators and reason (and it’s not reason at all) that a generator or a battery is not really electricity.

If you can’t plug something into a wall socket, it’s not “electric.”

It’s a faith based notion just as prohibition against tea or wine is for some other group I have heard about. :-)

No offense, Keene, but the BB software is a POS. 2 minute posting times (if you don't error out), cookie loss, "go to last post" never works...

Time to upgrade to a REAL language like .Net instead of this PHP crap.

I brought this up a couple of months ago and the answer was "use firefox".

Well, I switched to firefox and still have to log in all the time. Oh, and for some weird reason, I have to log in twice. It's terribly annoying.

It's funny how this is the only site that has cookie problems, but somehow it's a bug in IE...???

Hey, the remember me box never actually remembers me. I type my user name in so much that I even try to type it in on my email elsewhere. My email logs out too and often when i am in the middle of writing an email and I lose the email so I just copy it then re paste it when I log back on. I think the thingy refreshes every 5 mins and if you are inactive long enough it just automatically logs you out.
Just punched myself on the face...

So let me get this straight you put the lime in the coconut....

I mean you're suggesting that my thoughts are artificial.....meaning I've invented the first true A.I. in history. I'm a genius.

Just read carefully my words. Don’t try to read into them.

I suggested nothing. I stated it. Use your mind for thinking. Avoid trite regurgitation of dogma. Work to come into line with 21st Century information.

My guess is that the board software SUCKS! We need an upgrade! I have to log in every time I come to this site.

However, when I log in here, I can count on coming back to the computer after an hour or so of being away, and I have been logged off without my permission. Then I have to log in again.

Could that be a way to boost hits for advertising purposes?

It is annoying.

Sorry charity, but I think the problem lies in your lack of faith, i.e. like everything else that fails in life
because it is lack of faith, just pray a little harder.
And this this this time instead of praying about hungry, sick African children, destitute people, pray about
your welfare, be selfish a little.
I am sure you will see a difference about that login problem.
Good luck.

I'm a computer idiot, and I don't have to log in more than once a day (I use my laptop, so I turn it off at night). So it has nothing to do with being computer savvy...I think it's my perfect faith.
