Yeah, I would think the LAST thing FARMS would want is to actually have to do carbon dating on these questionable remains.
To Zak:
You made this comment on the mirror thread on MAD:
This North American Fuana book is a clear as mud. I think Im going to half to buy it. Beucase from what I gather... beasty only read certian pages of it which didn't include the conclusions of the Authors. Some thing she accuses Sorenson/Dr Petersen of.
You are incorrect. I was able to read the entire section devoted to the Mesoamerican caves in particular, and the author's conclusions are clear in the citations I offered.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

I thought you just engaged in a gleeful victory dance. LOL
I notice no "big name" apologists have responded to your thread, runtu. I don't follow MAD closely enough to know whether they've just generally abandoned MAD or are deliberately ignoring this thread. Anyone have insight on that?

I have no idea. The standard response has been to grab pieces of unrelated information (such as South American chickens, Peruvian ochre mines, and late classic Maya copper work) and insist that they have a connection with the Jaredites. Ben McGuire and Larry Poulsen are the only semi-big names to opine, but it doesn't seem like they really want to engage the topic.

I'm guessing it's the latter. I've seen the names of the "big names" listed as browsing over the last couple days. My assumption has been that if they were to respond, they are working behind the scenes to see if they can find another source to use to make their point, since their current one has been discredited. If they can't find such a source, I wouldn't expect a response. Nor would I expect them to correct their papers or video commentary.
I may be going to hell in a bucket, babe / But at least I'm enjoying the ride.
