Idiotic, TSG. There's little or no evidence that Romney's poor showing in most of the country, not just these regions, is because of his religion.
Don
Don,
I don't think you meant to imply that TSG is idiotic, but that's sort of what it sounds like. Just FYI.
I suspect that his religion has at least something to do with his poor performance in much of the country, though I'm sure that it is also a major reason for his unmitigated success in other parts of the country. A vote for Mitt, it seems, is a vote for Mormon cultural credibility. I think that both his supporters and his opponents grasp this. Even Christians who may not think that his religion will affect his performance as president may be reluctant to allow the Mormons yet another foothold in mainstream American culture.

An opinion I probably hear more is that most feel Romney is trying to buy the presidency, even with mostly his own money. This rich guy does not sit well with them.
We've had 8 years of a rich man who is clueless about what life is like for anyone less than an oil baron. Do we really need another guy's completely out of touch? (not that any of others are that much better)

You think that Romney is out of touch? He's a self-made man. He has a history of turning things around for the financial better.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Unfortunately, ordinary people aren't politicians.

I'm not so sure that can be called 'unfortunate.'
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

He got lucky, he laid off droves and squeezed benefits after buying companies and then sold them off. Private equity is not good for business but its great for multi-generational wealth and those who benefit from it.
