Need a good summary on all the apologetics for the Book of Abraham

Post by _Who Knows »

I'm looking for a summary of all the various apologetic arguments for the Book of Abraham. I guess I should clarify - i'm not looking for someone to type up all of it, I'm just looking for a link to where it's all discussed (whether in an article or in a forum). Some pros and cons of each of the theories would be nice too. ;)

I'd just like to be able to refer people to something that gives them a good overview of it all.

Thanks!

I created that forum a year ago for that exact purpose.

Yes, your forum came to mind. But I was hoping for some sort of consolidated piece - rather than having to sort through a number of threads. Something I could give to a newbie, i guess.

What I'm thinking of may not even exist all in one place.

But thanks for the forum, man.

The classic summary of all the apologetic theories comes from Charles Larson's book, here.

That forum is starting to look pretty shaggy. Could use a trim (spam and such).

You might try fairwiki.org for the concise explainations (and references to such). It is somewhat incomplete pending further research on some admittedly tough issues.

Thanks. That's a pretty decent summary. Although they overplay the amount of missing scrolls a bit too much, in my opinion. I see that the source for Gee's mysterious equation is still missing. :)
