Maher will not be remembered as anyone of any importance, unlike President Hinkley.

In what way is Maher "one of the most uneducated"?

In terms of what?

Jersey, Maher is a dip. I've never heard an informed or intellectually substantive comment come out of his philistine mouth, and much of what he's said over the years has been frankly outrageous. He's an airhead Hollywood liberal with a big mouth, many opinions, and little actual knowledge. He's one of the most uneducated, yes, but that's only saying his bulb is somewhat dimmer than most other denizens of the entertainment class. We are, after all, speaking of a class of people that included intellectual heavyweights like Sean Penn, George Cloony, and Ted Danson.

Please answer my damn question. In what way is he "one of the most uneducated"?

What Maher said is basically true...Mormons do have a history of shifting positions. Polygamy being the biggest of course.

You want quotations? Look up the idiotic statements regarding politics, social issues, and religion over the years yourself. The Web is chock full of them. Gaz has some above.

At the very least, his lack of education comes out in his lack of intellectual substance. His statements regarding religion are not those of a temperate, serious mind speaking upon serious issues.

Okay, forget the back door, let's barge right through the front door since you can't seem to answer a simple question on point.

What is his educational level?

How do people tolerate this idiot? Why does he get air time? I guess the same way a windbag like Dr. Phil does.

I love to tolerate BILL MAHER! He is the best thing happened to American Comedy since aging&still kicking Don Rickles.
Bill is kicking where truth hurts.
I bet you don't have ten dollars a month extra to pay for HBO. You could see great shows like "Big Love"....among others....

Now...might I point out just a couple of things and say upfront that I'm no big fan of Maher having said that...

Maher is first and foremost, an entertainer not a "pundit" as Coggins claims.

Maher is anti-organized religion, not anti-God (That's for Gaz)

As Bond pointed out, Maher's comments regarding shape shifting were a valid comparison between the track record of the church on issues such as polygamy and blacks holding the priesthood...and Romney's wiggling around on issues. Same exact thing.

Now..why can't people answer a simple question without others having to pull their teeth?
