What?!

I used to live two blocks from where the tornado struck in Memphis. I wish the little s*** had said this to my face.

So, is it fair to say that you feel your "sarcasm" was justified, given all the "anti-Mormon bigotry" that goes in in the South, and/or your personal connection to Romney?

No, I don't. I offered my comments as an explanation, not as justification. I was wrong to employ sarcasm with the topic.

Best.

You have no character.

Edited to add: You are an insensitive twit who whores himself for a cult. Go to hell.

Are you telling me that Mitt's quitting has upset a TBM???

Sweet!! I revel in that!

That made my weekend even more after Mitt quit!

The reason Huckabee got votes over Mitt is real chritians are drawn to christians. Christians are drawn to Mormons.

Whereas I can assure you that "I plea the fifth" is hardly the worst words a Yankee has ever spoken against the South, if I truly hurt your feelings then I am truly sorry.

Who needs Polygamy Porter to put decent threads in the gutter, when we now have mercury around?

David - for what it's worth, I read your comment only as a sarcastic joke, made in the heat of the moment - I think we've all been guilty of that. You've apologized, and I don't believe you meant anything truly malicious by it.

Let it die...

Still waiting for Will to back this up...

Who Knows,

Thanks so much. Simply for the record, notwithstanding my support of Mitt Romney, I have never believed that Mitt was "God's chosen" candidate. In fact, early on in the campaign, I had two disagreements with separate family members who actually did hold that opinion. I couldn't have disagreed more. Mitt would have made a great President, but IMP "if God's on our side, He'll stop the next war."

Your friend,

What on earth have I "misrepresented," David? I've tried very hard to get to the heart of this issue, and have been met with some rather strange and conflicting messages from you. Please feel free to cite specific examples.

You've suggested that I said that God punished the South for voting against Romney, when in fact I never did say this, I made an inappropriate sarcastic comment that implied the view and then immediately posted both a correction and an apology.

I've "suggested" that you said that? Where did I do that? My goodness, David, it just can't get any more tortured than this. Now you are misrepresenting what *I* said.

You've also suggested that this sarcastic implication was of the same level as Richard's and Gibson's blatant racial slurs.

Well, how is it *not* on that level? I happily gave you the opportunity to provide substitute analogies. So where are they? Does BY's remark seem analogous to you?

You've also questioned my sincerity, my feelings, and my original intent and in so doing have misrepresented these issues.

I'd sure love to know how simple questioning constitutes "misrepresentation." It seems to me that you are trying to wiggle out of this by howling about "misrepresentation." Who Knows is right: you should just take your lumps.

Hey Kevin,

Just curious, now that you have heard Mitt's exit speech, do you still think he is the best man for the job of Pres?
