You said Juliann was not a bigot. Yet, she makes remarks about mainstream Churches and uses stereotypes such as they are recruiting for monetary gain. I thought you were defending her? Guess not?

I agree there are ridiculous stereotypes on both sides!

You should admit that there are preacher who are out for money. My widowed mother called one of those 800 numbers for a free Christian bookmark or some little thing. She is, 15 years later, getting dunning letters for money for their "minsitry." You don't think that is to get gain?

Please please please don't talk about money when you defend a church that is sitting on only-God-knows how much loot. 50 billion? You can't say jack squat about money grubbing religions if you're going to defend the LDS Corporation.

No. And you know that what I said is the truth. 50 Billion may be a ballpark figure but you can't deny that the LDS Church has untold wealth and assets. From the outside looking in the tithing/Temple system looks like a de facto mandatory tax collecting system.

Finally, even you have degenerated into ranting demagoguery. I'm all for the Church having all that money and a great deal more, as its purpose is for the building of the kingdom of God and the spreading of the Gospel, not to mention the large scale relief work the Church does on a regular basis.

From the inside looking out, your considered opinion here looks like...ranting demagoguery.

And besides, its none of your business.

Please please please say you're joking, lil penguin.

No Harmony, this is what actually happened as reported in my accurate historian mode. This to me, is confirmation that what is produced at FAIR is taken as definitive proof in the hinterland.

Yes, they want you to join the LDS Church before the contributions. That is different.
How? That somehow makes is more acceptable?
People who give to tithing are doing it to keep a commandment of their own free will. Not to build $6,000 doghouses for televangelists. I think that makes it a lot more acceptable.

"to build $6,000 doghouses for televangelists"
- Build $1,000,000,000 mall instead.

( I don't call it a billion, because it is a milliard. Billion is 1,000,000,000,000 as it is two/bi of six zeroes. If You don't want to believe, please explain, where is the [i]two something[/b] in 1,000,000,000. )

The British billion is 1 x 10^12. The American billion is 1 x 10^9. It's a matter of definition.

As far as translated correctly the "bi" to one and a half or to whatever.

My brain switched the words in the title. LOL. Maybe this reply is a little pointless.
