Because a billion has twice as many zeros as a million.

No. And you know that what I said is the truth. 50 Billion may be a ballpark figure but you can't deny that the LDS Church has untold wealth and assets. From the outside looking in the tithing/Temple system looks like a de facto mandatory tax collecting system.

Finally, even you have degenerated into ranting demagoguery. I'm all for the Church having all that money and a great deal more, as its purpose is for the building of the kingdom of God and the spreading of the Gospel, not to mention the large scale relief work the Church does on a regular basis.

From the inside looking out, your considered opinion here looks like...ranting demagoguery.

And besides, its none of your business.

Ranting? You are the Number 1 offender on that issue. Most of your posts descend into rants about communists and leftists...that's your shtick and you stick to it.

None of my business? Says who? Freedom of speech.

I don't care what the church does with its money. But let's be clear that their relief work is not "large scale," though they are good at using their relief work for PR purposes. If the numbers we see from the UK are at all representative, less than 2 percent of the church's annual income is spent on humanitarian efforts, and their outlays pale in comparison to Catholic Relief and other NGOs. Every relief effort I have ever been involved with in the church has always been emphasized as primarily a missionary effort.

Thank You! I am not alone in Europe.

Yeah, it was pointless, but it sure was funny!

Look at his avatar, then read the word next to "Location." That'll tell you where his location is.

My ship was grounded there, in the Carpathian Basin.

And I hear they plan to keep it off limits to all but the general authorities and their families. They will use this new mall as an elitist bargain bin, where they can by Fashion Street merchandise at Walmart prices! Yeeeehaaaaah!
