I happen to know what your doctorate is in, so I'm one up on charity. :)
That said, I think that's kind of a cheap shot at charity, though I do agree that some apologists retreat too quickly to the "the spirit told me so" last refuge.

We still need to have lunch one of these days.
Yes, let's do!
Funny, I'm down here in Berkeley right now on business (and we're getting a little "pleasure" in too). It reminded me that there were about 6 of us that were in the Berkeley Ward in the 80s (David Wright, Ed Firmage Jr., and a few others that are CUBs now, so I won't mention names) that all got doctrates here, that are non-believers today. Many of us studied with Grant Palmer (you know, the Insider that FARMS slams as 'not really an Insider') while he was doing his research for his book in the 90s. He thought our doctorates were good enough to contribute to his work...

What a crock. I think you may know something about whatever your doctorate is in. But you still have to prove to me you expertise outside your field. But it sure makes you feel better to try to make other people look less intelligent than you.
Listen to runtu. He seems to have a better handle on this than you do.

Are you referring to Grant "I taught seminary and I know everything" Palmer? Or maybe it is Grant "I'll take your money while I write under a pseudonym and try to destroy you" Palmer? Did you learn ethics from him also?

That also was a cheap shot, charity. Ad hominem does not become you.

We are talking about credibliity. BishopRic brought up Palmer's name. I didn't. If he wants to laud his praises, then I am entitled to provide the other side.
