Oh. Figures.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Heh-heh. Sorry - sometimes I just can't help myself. No worries.

I certainly would never defend someone's adultery. Can you provide a source for your claim?

I wasn't naming you specifically. I said "critics." Southerton has been defended by many of the critics in his excommunication, saying the Church had no righ to pry into his private life.

He did not committ adultery. The Lord commanded plural marraige.

Jeez, Louise.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, ...

Get a clue, Charity.

I suppose all the men and women who commit adultery can now just go with this excuse... God coammanded plural marriage so I had no choice.

They are good to go!

Those who are commanded must do as God commands. Those who are not commanded cannot excuse themselves. You can't fool God.

You know, I have to agree with you here, Charity.

<Gasp!>

As far as the real God goes, I really don't think He/She/It can be fooled by those who claim to speak in His/Her/Its name for their own personal gain, such as saying something along the lines of "God says you must sleep with me, or I'll be killed by a flaming sword". Or doing something like sending someone on a mission so you can bed his wife. Maybe God is pretty upset with someone who would have people take up their own hard earned money to provide them a house, because "God" told them to in some sort of "revelation".

You are right, Charity ..... you can't fool God!

I have to agree with ozemc.

I'll bet Charity would stand at the Pearly Gates and kick St. Peter himself in the teeth before she'd let a man play her.

And if she had to make a choice between Joseph Smith and God, she'd of course always side with the Almighty. Even if it meant she was wrong about Joseph Smith.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.
