But I love you Mercury. Even if you are a bigot driven crazy by a kooky religion.

Can you justify your comments or are you too busy blaming people for destructive weather still?

Sure I can take a break from that and justify my comments. I just love you cause it's in my nature. Besides, you seem a bit angry and your bitterness makes me love you all the more.

People who blame tornadoes on others should not try to act like they are on the moral high ground.

Someone told me once to love my enemies. It would drive them crazy. Is this an application of that theory?

Nope, its an application of trying to appear the better person. "Loving your enemies" is a cop out.

Enemy? What enemy? Besides, clearly the man doesn't need to be driven...

I think we're all her enemies, anyone who doesn't agree with the church and points out things that make it unlikely to be true. Fortunately, Charity is not a muslim or she'd be strapping on the suicide vest. The best a TBM can do is call us tools of satan and dust off their shoes;)
"We of this Church do not rely on any man-made statement concerning the nature of Deity. Our knowledge comes directly from the personal experience of Joseph Smith." - Gordon B. Hinckley

"It's wrong to criticize leaders of the Mormon Church even if the criticism is true." - Dallin H. Oaks

I find these comments insulting and derogatory. who the F*** do you think you are charity? Your self important rantings are tired and only can cause contention in a home where one parent does not participate in your goddamned cult.

If I were you I would reexamine what you believe. This person you supposedly got this from is deserving of being culled from the herd along with you.

Charity's "offensive comments"? It wasn't nice, it was subtle, but it was pretty tame--especially for this board....and considering some of the things you've said...seems a little like the "pot calling the kettle black".

I always hated the whole "i love you even though I disagree with you" line. Often I would hear this said to the EV's we would debate and then once out of earshot deride the EV's for their beliefs.

You are no different, asshat.

See, now this is the thing. charitys comments are based on willful ignorance and hatred. My comments are based on observation and witty biting quips.

I love you, Mercury. Even though I disagree with you. I'm not a Christian -- and I'm certainly not an EV. Yet, when I have compassion and empathy for those about me it doesn't hurt me (unless they do -- then I have to retreat), and it doesn't hurt them. I find that hatred and bitterness doesn't really further my goals of feeling at peace and attempting to find commonalities. It's not merely a quip -- this is how some choose to lead their lives. When I hold onto hatred and bitterness I just feel small and find that I don't like who I am. Loving others is not altruistic, for me, it is a purely hedonistic act because it just feels good.

And you know why I love you. And I won't out you on the board for being the good man you actually are. ;)
