ludwig - it would be fantastic if you could obtain the Sandor text. I'm very curious about the context of the quote used in the apologia.

The more I hunt, the more I am interested ...

1. The book "History of ... " has issued originally in english. I found it in one of our national libraries, I can read it as early as March. It is not available in electronic form. The reference call it more a popularizing one than strictly scientist.

2. The hungarian version has issued in 1978 with digested content. I booked it on the internet. The title is "Vadakat terelő juhász", (approximately "The shepherd who handles the games / wild animals" ). It is a line from a popular hungarian poem, a lullaby, which says "You may be fireman or soldier or shepherd ...".

3. Accidentally, we go for a week of vacation after a few days near Keszthely, the town mentioned in my previous comment !

Please keep up posted with your findings. There is something not quite right about this reference. I think some context is missing.
