Saying evil anonymous things about the church while living a double life on Sundays is hypocritical and cowardly. I just can't see any justification for it. Plus, you occasionally use your anonymous bully pulpit to defame people with real names -- myself included.

Do you just program your computer to spit out these comments, or do you actually have to sit there and type it out each time?

Let me save you some time. Just save a word doc copy of your comments here, and whenever you feel the urge to post on this board, just copy and paste.

Or you could also use skippy's summary:

I guess the Danzig case though shows us what happens when one speaks out in the LDS Church. For personal reasons I thus remain a damned hypoccite and coward.

Yes yes bob. I agreed with you. I am a damned coward. And hypocrite. I agree. I wish it were not so.

Double life? If posting on a MB where maybe 50 or so people post regularly is living a double life then I guess I am. In all other areas of my life I am quite a plain and ordinary guy and live like any other active LDS person.

Please show me where I have defamed you or anyone else with real names.

Please show me where I disparage accepted Church doctrines other than sharing me personal view on them.

Well, because so many people cheat on their taxes and lie to the IRS that justifies me doing so, as well.

I continue to assert than many folks here are sociopaths -- can't tell the difference between right and wrong, character and no-character, cowardice and courage.

Apples and oranges really.

I wait for your comments to this:

Direct quotes from actual posts would be helpful. If you can show where I defame you then I will apologize, publically here, of course behind my anonymous hypocritical shield.

Not knowing someone's name makes character assasinations problematical, eh.

After all this time you still don't have a plan B?

Bob, do you think it wrong for active Mormons to have dissenting opinions? If they gave a name to their dissenting opinion, would it not damage many other members by tempting them with ecclesiastical abuse though attempting to silence or punish the dissenter? Would this abuse not further damage the Church's reputation when those so punished or abused refused to suffer in silence?

So perhaps Jason is doing an act of service by remaining anonymous.

Gee, I've been following this Board for over a year now and all I read is demands that the Church publish its history. You guys are really twits. Posting anonymously, I guess you can say whatever you want.

Actually, Bob, I think that the near unanimous opionion from this board is that the Church should publish "honest" history.

In terms of numbers of pieces of of paper published, the Church's Historian's office has (1) published more raw original pages that authored works -- by many tens of thousands of pages and (2) offers its archives to virtually any researcher with very little restriction. I am in the archives often and nobody asks me whether I am a member, and I have never been restricted. I can tell you that most major universities, by comparision, make it more difficult to get into their special collections than the Church's collections. I have attempted to research university collections of restricted materials and can't get into them because of their age (modern -- living people still discussed therein).

Well, that's nice, Bob, which of course fails to explain why official publications on history or that relate historical events or quotes, and why media presentations on Mormon history, are riddled with material ommissions.

Of course, I also assume that the Bolivian membership of the Church are there in droves pouring through the raw originals with you?

How many of them do you think rely on what the Church spoon feeds them as their sole source of information, and how many do you think are actively reading the FARMS website and buying apologetic material?

Oh c'mon, Bob, this is such an over the top silly thing to say. Yeah, right, we're sociopaths.

Get some perspective Bob.

That's not a widely accepted definition of sociopath. I would say criminally anti-social is a better description of sociopath.

Actually, Jason makes a good point. I have not seen anything in Jason's posts that are outright disparaging as far as the Church is concerned. Actually, Jason defends the Church quite often on this board, and is consistently ridiculed by PP, Merc, and Infymus for doing so.
