I suspect that whatever mod banned you over there probably misread your post. He/she probably thought that you were calling the Mormon god a "penis".
Of course, that's not what you were doing, but the knee-jerk reaction probably means that they thought you meant something much more offensive than what was actually said.

I don't understand how it relates. To me it is a swear. I would find discomfort in using the word myself. Where did blind men touching an elephant's penis come from? I don't see it. I can see how people might take offense, but if others have used such language before then one ought not to ban you for saying it.
I think MADb has grown a little community and will use anything to get rid of new people. This however is only speculation.
