Banned from MADB for Using the Word "Penis"

You can't link directly to MADB from this board. The MADB moderators have it rigged so that's impossible.

The best you can do is cut and paste the link into another window.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: use Firefox, and use the about:config feature to turn of the sendRefererHeader feature. It's actually a good practice in general.

Do this:

- In the location box, enter about:config (ignore the silly warning about voiding your warranty you see if you happen to be using FF 3b3)

- In the filter box, enter: network.http.sendRefererHeader

- Click on that value, and change the integer to 0

Easy peasy. Now you're free to click from here (or other demonic sites) to MADB with no worries.

In general I like having this turned off - ain't nobody's business where I been but my own.

I just recently realized that Scott Lloyd has me 'Brackite' in his signature line, over at on the MA&D Message Board. Here is Scott Lloyd's signature line, with me in it:

I suppose it would have been preferable to use the terms "member", "Johnson", or "little soldier" rather than its actual name.

I think member should be their word of choice. That way, when someone on the board asks if you are a member, you can reply, "no, I'm not a penis."

I disagree. The choice of the word should be none other than "Bishop".
Then you can brag about it "I beat my bishop into a pulp yesterday".

I suspect that whatever mod banned you over there probably misread your post. He/she probably thought that you were calling the Mormon god a "penis".

Of course, that's not what you were doing, but the knee-jerk reaction probably means that they thought you meant something much more offensive than what was actually said.

I think you must be right, Canucklehead. I didn't intend to be vulgar, and I have to think my post was misread somehow.

At any rate, I want to make it clear that I was not calling the Mormon God a "penis". I really hope they don't think I was. I may be an outer-darkness bound apostate, but still, I'd not insinuate anything like that at all.

PS. I want to add that I apologized on the board for offending Scott Lloyd. I found this on MADB this morning, under my post: "We continue to receive reports about this post and we let it stand as an example of what will get one banned. = mods" They must really find it offensive! I certainly didn't intend it to be vulgar at all. I really can't believe the overreaction.

I think it's pretty obvious what went down. They didn't like the fact that you were talking about their god and his penis. They didn't like you insinuating someone might be grabbing his penis. That, to them, is extremely distasteful.

But, that just it! I wasn't AT ALL insinuating that someone grabbed Mormon God's penis! Not at all! I was only continuing the elephant analogy. In the referenced poem, one blind man touched the elephants leg and declared an elephant was much like a tree. The elephant=God in the poem. I suggested a blind Mormon who touched the elephant felt something, like a piece of elephant skin or tail, that felt like a penis, and declared that the elephant (God) was much like a man. NOT that anyone touched God's penis or the elephant's or any penis at all, for that matter! In my mind, I envisioned them touching an elephant. Nothing or no one else.

That is exactly what went through my mind. I never intended anything other than the above analogy. I can't see how anyone could think I was calling the Mormon God a penis, or suggesting that someone grabbed his penis. I certainly didn't intend it!

PS. I made only forty-some-odd posts there in a five month period. It matters not to me whether I ever post there again. I wouldn't want to now if I could. But, I do want folks to know I had no ill intent; no intent to be vulgar at all.
