For your amusement and enjoyment, I present Hammer's latest

Post by _It occurs to me . . . »

I know most people on MAD don't take him seriously anymore, but in his latest thread he goes way over the line of what even they are comfortable with. In his thread titled "Teach Them Incorrect Principles And, they will destroy themselves", Katherine the Great, logically (as she so often is), states:
How is this really any different than the world has ever been? People talk about how horrible the world is becoming? The world isn't any more horrible now than it has ever been--it just has much more available information for us to know what is really going on in the world. The only thing that made the world "better" in the past was the lack of knowledge (in this sense--the forbidden fruit.)

to which Hammer replies:
we know that places like Pompei were fixed by the Lord. Many places have had their come uppance though they were as evil as we are today.

I believe as Elder Eyring stated back during the Tsunomi in ShriLanka (sp) that the Lord is beginning to try those who have delt out sin. Consider the situation of wicked cities and states such as Louisianna and California. Sexually free states. Then there are the dozens of feet of snow in other states who also have put God on the back burner.

It will soon be someone elses turn. Many all over the globe are crying--Green house affect. LOL I say it is the "God" affect as He calls us all to repentence. Many try and take God out of what is happening and blaming it on our consumptions. But for alll those who are diligently working to prevent more usage and green house--we are worse off today than before Green Peace.
(bold mine)

Most MAD members are calling him on it so far, but I thought you might enjoy this latest Hammerism

I like Katherine the Great. She's one of the few posters over there that can see the logic in the critic's arguments, even though she finds a way to believe. It is interesting that she is more level headed on the whole God's wrath through natural disasters thing than even Elder Eyring appears to be. Amazingly God had nothing to do with the Samoan temple burning dow a few ears ago. That was satan.

Hammer time. For crazy, lunatic fringe, way beyond whacko, Mormon literalist overcredulous "Mo-goggles welded to his face" testimony crap, in the words of his (unintended) namesake:

You can't touch this.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

ROFLOL! I see that Hammer's Posts are getting even a bit more ridiculous and even a bit more ludicrous, over there.

Anyway, Here is the URL Address to that Discussion Thread:

I like her too. (Wish she would post over here, and bring consiglieri with her).

I sometimes wonder if Hammer isn't an anti sock puppet made to make TBM's look bad.

His last post to me was that he told God that he WAS NOT going to eat or drink until he had his answer. 3 1/2 days later, it came. Therefore, I need to be prepared to do whatever it takes to get my answer. Yeah, and be prepared to meet Jesus via starvation/dehydration induced hallucinations.

I wondered if I should start flogging myself to make sure God knows I'm really REALLY serious??

That would add some class to the joint, would it not? How could we send them the invite?

Any chance Hammer made these seemingly ludicious statements just to liven things up over there?

All I can say is: oh. my. god.

Of course, there's nothing any of us can add after sethbag's comments.

I love this reply in that thread, in response to Enoch being destroyed if it was downhill from an erupting volcano.

I don't necessarily agree with the original assertion made. but i disagree with your assessment of the city of Enoch. If it had been the city of Enoch, the Priesthood would have commanded the lava to flow elsewhere and it would have.

I'm picturing a priesthood holder holding out his hand like Yoda and moving the lava flow. Is the Priesthood power any different than The Force?

Was that lava thing a serious post, or a snarky comment from a nonbeliever?
