From Tarskie's post:
...wall of separation between church and State.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Danbury Baptist Association, CT., Jan. 1, 1802
Jefferson, as many others of their times who were educated under the British system that encouraged elequence, expressed ideals that belied their "walk". To the point, "...seperation between church and state."
IMSCO, this hallow practice self-serves both parties to the benefit of all but the masses who have been led to believe (indoctrinated:-) that both of these institutions have their (the masses) best interest at heart. If that was only so!
What really happens: Churches get tax advantages for being mute about political issues. Church tithe & offering payers get tax advantage re their contributions. Charitable organizations, with a tax exempt #, cannot protest/advocate/loby against Government action. IF they do they risk their favoured status. Consequently Governments, Democratic or Dictatorial have little resistant to their allocation of resources...
WHEN CHRISTIANITY PUTS ITSELF ON THE LINE, AND STANDS UP TO THE MAMMONITES THAT RULE THE WORLD, AS Jesus INTENDED, 12,000,000 U.S. DOLLARS PER MONTH SPENT ON WAR, COULD BE INVESTED IN THE CITIZENRY THAT DISHES THE DOLLARS TO THEIR TRUSTED CHURCH & STATE!!!
Connect that spending to the lives lost on both sides of the battle line, and it is obvious to all but the stupified that Establishment Christianity, as it represents "God" has long been a sham and a scam... Blah...Blah...Blah... Our hope lies in less gullible future EDUCATED generations. Warm regards, Roger
