4. You raise no new points nor do you refute any comments from me.

Really?

The war in Iraq is mentioned by you to be a war where Bush used his religion (I point out his denomination is the Methodist Church) and doctrine paved the way. I point out that the EXACT OPPOSITE is the case. You say that Christians were silent before the war. I refute this. You say that UMC didn't pray for Iraqis (I think you just made that up:) and I refute that. You say UMC was silent before the war - I refute. You say just certain individuals in the UMC spoke out, I offer up evidence that the President of the Council of Bishops (paid a salary by the UMC) spoke out against the war. You say many things that I refute. You just pretend I didn't for some reason or another.

I know, I know, I don't have direct quotes... thing is I don't need them. I just recall the conversation. You'll reply to this post telling me paraphrase is faulty (by the way, still waiting for a quote of mine talking about pacifism) and that I should do a direct quote. I'll then reply with direct quotes of you and my direct quotes refuting what you said...

You ask me what my point is? My point is to attempt to make you aware that there are divisions among religions, that there are some things that line up with secular beliefs (yours and mine), that doctrine is routinely ignored by those denominations without heavy indoctrination, that there is not some blob of religious voters that attempt to press their morality into policy as there are disagreements between denominations and even among individual members.

I'm so exhausted....

Moniker,

You’re either not reading or not understanding the detailed analysis in my posts.

It’s not important which.
