Aren't we taking a bit of liberty here with the word "apologist?" It seems in this thread, an apologist is anyone who speaks in any way favorably about Mormonism.
When I talk about apologists, I'm talking about the people that push "official arguments" to refute problems with the church. I'm not talking about the liz's, Jason's, Nehor's, harmony's and rollo's of the world. My comments with regard to apologists certainly don't apply to folks like them.
Who is your favorite LDS ?????apologist??????

I think he's dreamy.

DCP because in spite of it all, he really has been able to keep his sense of humor. I mean, I laugh just thinking about "Kolob Sunday".
Brant Gardner because he doesn't cut any other apologist an inch of slack. He is very precise, and helps clean up sloppy thinking on both sides of the isle.
Everyone else I enjoy to some degree even if I don't agree with them, except for Pahoran and Juliann. I just don't understand where they're coming from, or what motivates them.

Perhaps the answer is to be found in the work of the Marquis de Sade.
