What does it mean to tax the rich?

Post by ajax18 »

It's going to mean all of us paying more and living on less. And as it happened through the Obama years, the globalist oligarchs will continue to get richer. Corporations pass these taxes off onto consumers. We all pay for the inflation. And as this article points out, politicians cannot be trusted when they throw around statements like, We're only raising taxes on people making $400k/year or more. It's not like voters haven't been told these lies before. Yet for some reason people continue to fall for it, every time.

As a candidate, His Fraudulency Joe Biden pledged not to raise taxes on “anybody” making $400,000 or less. On Wednesday, the White House basically announced Biden had lied. Akshually, the number is more like $200,000.

Back in August, during an interview with far-left ABC News, Biden declaratively said, “I will raise taxes for anybody making over $400,000.”

“So no new taxes for anyone under $400,000?” the interviewers asked. Biden responds, “No new taxes. There’s no need for new taxes.”

Naturally, Biden was responding to a question about Trump warning people that Biden would raise their taxes — a warning that is now proving to be 100 percent accurate.

My, my, what a difference an election makes…

On Wednesday, Press Secretary Lyin’ Ginger informed the world what Biden reeealllyyy meant was that he would raise taxes on pretty much everyone making $200,000:

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday clarified that President Biden’s proposed tax hike would apply to people who earn $200,000 per year if they are married to someone who makes the same amount.

Psaki said at her daily press briefing that the proposed $400,000 threshold for tax increases applies to “families” rather than individuals.

But-but-but His Fraudulency said “anybody,” said he would not raise taxes on “anybody” making less than $400,000. He did not say families. He said “anybody,” which is singular, which includes those who are part of families.

In fact, during his first major television interview this week, which was naturally done with George Stephanopoulos, a lifelong Democrat and Clinton loyalist, His Fraudulency again repeated the “anybody” lie.

“Yes, anybody making more than $400,000 will see a small to a significant tax increase,” he said.

Then he added this: “If you make less than $400,000, you won’t see one single penny in additional federal tax.”

But then, within hours, Lyin’ Ginger has to clarify when His Fraudulency says “anybody” he doesn’t really mean “anybody” and when His Fraudulency says “$400,000” he doesn’t doesn’t really mean “$400,000.”

Listen, I could not care less if Biden soaks these rich assholes for every penny. While I personally have always believed that taxing the rich is morally wrong and terrible economics, now the rich are all voting Democrat, I’m all in favor of them getting exactly what they voted for.

As long as my taxes are not raised and my Social Security and Medicare remain untouched, watching the wealthy get taxed and regulated to death by the Democrats they thought they could trust, will only make me smile.

Go get ’em, Joe!

Soak ’em dry!

When the middle class hears that families with household incomes between $400,000 and $800,000 could be facing tax increases in order to pay for things that only the poor depend on such as Social Security and Medicare, they will be furious! How could Biden have lied! There is going to be a middle class revolt!

Analytics do you really believe the cost of this latest $2 trillion is going to only fall upon those making $400k/year or more?

Oh, for heavens sake. The clarification was that the $400,000 was for households, not individuals. Fewer than 1.8% of all US households earn more than 400K per year. Breitbart has gone even farther off the deep end than usual.

Yes, because unlike you, he's an educated man who understand economics. You're a mindless Brietbart troll who believes anything the right wing propaganda mill feeds you.

I'm addressing the article you quoted that says Biden is dishonestly screwing the middle class with his proposed taxes. Do you agree with the article you quoted? Do you think raising taxes on families making more than $400k a year is screwing the middle class and that Biden lied when he said he wanted to raise taxes on people making more than $400k when what he really meant was families making more than $400k?

This could unexpectedly hurt two-income families where both breadwinners make between $200k and $400k. Should we be enraged?

ajax, are you enraged about this because you (or, more precisely, your ‘household’) are in this ‘middle class’ income tax bracket of 400k per year?

If so, how will your tax burden change? Maybe do some napkin calculations. Ballpark figures are fine.

The key to this is nobody has ever heard the "800,000" number, which would have been floating around if anyone had ever meant "400,000" was for one person. So STFU and find the next stupid thing to have a meltdown over. Oh, I see you found that also; okay find the next stupid thing after that.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.
