Why would God not including thinking, feeling, speaking beings in his plan of salvation?
How did Adam feel about his own mother not being included in the plan of salvation.
How did he feel about his mother not being a child of God???

when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

How do you know what level of sentience (sp?) is required?

How do you know that Adam knew his own mother? It does answer the question about the belly button though....lol

It works better as a metaphorical myth than it does as science or history.
Is it OK if I give up on you now?

Error in correlation. The gaps can be filled in with science and history without conflict.

The more I think about it, the more I think that everyone (except maybe the Jains) is guilty of specism (like racism, but for species) to some degree.
Fine, but where would the spirits for non-human but almost completely-humans come from? Personally I've wondered about spiritual evolution. Of course, there are some obvious problems to the idea (how can natural selection happen without some competition, or death?). One possibility is that no natural selection of spirits occurs--every mutation survives. Natural selection actually slows down the rate of changes in the pool, or the speed of a random walk. Of course then we also run into bigger questions about what to do with spirits which are not in a shape suitable as a blueprint for actual life. Maybe the lucky ones can become part of the next spirit clothing fashion lineup?
(Maybe I shouldn't post when I'm dead tired.)

That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.

Nope. Not begotten by HF at all imho.
So are they the Mormon version of mud people?
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

We know from a modern prophet of God that Adam was a resurrected man who came into the garden from another planet and brought Eve, who was one of his many wives with him. And that Adam is God, and the only God we anything to do.
This is a great example of how a modern prophet's words can clear up so much misunderstanding.
You try to refute what you call a silly argument with one that really is silly?
Mmmmmm kay.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I think you may be missing sunstoned's irony here ...

Why would the form of a very intelligent animal bother you? In case you have forgotten, it's all speculation on my part. Well, almost all. The part that is not speculative is that evolution is not precluded by LDS doctrine.
