Scientology's ENTIRE Old Testament manual (get it fresh)

Post by _cksalmon »

My new favorite website (hosted by an ISP in Sweden), Wikileaks, recently posted the entire Old Testament manual of the "Church" of Scientology. Apparently, this is the first time in history that this document has been available in its entirety to the general public.

If you've ever happened upon a car accident and thought, "Man, if only Tom Cruise were here," then this is definitely FOR YOU. This is the tech, the whole tech, and nothing but the tech.

I don't know if this document reflects Miscavige's "Golden Age" or not, but it's certainly...interesting.

Mods, feel free to move (after a decent number of views? Please?) to OT--"Off Topic," that is.

Yowza! Wonder if it will end up yanked due to scientology's heavy legal hand.

by the way, their lingo almost makes the document incomprehensible. What the heck is "mocking up bank"?
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Yeah I spent a few "fun" hours with this last week.

I love volcanos, so I kinda love the role they play in Xenu-lore...

My understanding is that Wikileaks can do the Hammer dance day and night while shouting "You can't touch this" and CoS can't do much, if anything, about it.

Until CoS can convince the US to extradite the country of Sweden, this and other controversial sites hosted in Sweden are free and clear from US copyright laws.

As a sidenote: I believe CoS theoretically could sue anyone here in the States who has the document either on her harddrive or in print form. Word to the wise.

Skippy would know much more about this than I (read: I don't know anything about this). But, CoS, as I understand it, can't do much but be chagrined about Wikileaks emanating this material from within the borders of a sovereign Sweden.

Beastie, Scientology writings are literally riddled from front to back with that kind of jargon. I think that the development of a specialized, "in-group" jargon helps knit people together in the organization and strengthen the feeling of belonging. Mormonism and all the other churches may have their share of in-group specific lingo, but Scientology outdoes them all by leagues.

It's really laughable.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Ah, so "mocking up bank" means "visualizing past negative experiences." It's like reading a foreign language, having to keep switching to the dictionary.

Yeah, clams definitely have an affinity for enturbulating us wogs.
