Did you ever cheat and eat on fasting Sunday?

You're quite the amazing creature. Strange, but amazing...

Thank you....I think. I've finally started eating better (I.e. I eat breakfast and lunch even though I'm not hungry for it). My biggest problem is I would forget to eat all day, eat a lot, forget for a while, eat all day, rinse and repeat.

I have never thought it was right to make little kids fast. My view has always been that if there is a reason that you would like to fast, and you're old enough to really understand it, then go for it. But I have never made my kids fast on Fast Sunday.

My oldest daughter has a kidney condition that made it impossible for her to fast for health reasons. This was another significant reason that fasting was not a big deal at our house.

A couple of times this year, I have skipped Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast so my daughter and I could go out to eat after Church. Seems to work fine, since the appetite you build up from this is really condusive to the Golden Corral.

I was very strict when I was a believer and never cheated. I did brush my teeth but spat the water right back out. I was shocked to learn later some people drank water during the fast. It would have been SOOOOO much easier if I could have drunk water!

I had very strong spiritual "highs" when fasting. Hmmm, I wonder why....

But then three pregnancies, nursing and a condition that required medicine with which I had to eat pretty much cut out my fasting altogether. I admit to not being disappointed. ;)

I think that's the way your actually supposed to fast. that's how I was taught, that way you can gather the family together for the classic sunday family dinner.

My biggest problem is that I tend to forget its fast sunday. I can recall a few times when the service started and they went into the fast and testimony meeting gear, and my wife and I looked at each other and went "Oh crap".

Yeah, we'd get him eating two servings at each meal!

How has your luck been for abstaining from masturbation? Have you passed the three day mark yet?

Please stop inquiring about my sexual life. I'm flattered that you're interested but not interested myself.
