I read an article about a company holding back negative information because it could hurt sales which could affect the company. It seems that this is wrong. It seems also that other things may be similar such as holding back information so membership increases. It seems that this is also wrong.

I guess the church leaders would say that the withheld information is not very useful.. or something. :-(
I do think it is disingenuous to promote that which is knowingly not true to gain participants/investors/believers, and to hide information that is true but may negatively impact one's decision to join a church, purchase stocks, invest in a company, or whatever.
I go back to the core problem... what sort of God creates a plan where one must be less than honest in order to promote the truth?
