Ironically, I tend to view people, for the most part, almost the opposite of what you state here, though with the same result. I consider people in general to be good and descent and loving and kind, and so the things being described (not to be confused with the way in which they are being described here) actually also strike me as fantastic--both meeting and exceeding my high expectations.

Perhaps this is a case of us respectively seeing the glass half empty/full. To each their own. ;-)

Does the opportunistic use of this tragedy for purposes of Church PR strike you as "fantastic"?

Another fine spin job and smear of trying to make someone look bad when nothing untoward seems intended. It amazes me what you find when there is really nothing there at all.

As far as I know Scratch at least DCP doesn't spend his time examining other people's sex lives. Glass houses and all that.

Actually, he does. Did you not read his comments concerning Mike Quinn's excommunication? You really need to get with the program, Nehor.

I did, yet he comes across as someone who happens to know someone else's sexual preferences and you come across as a creepy Internet predator.

Yes. The whole "let your light shine before men" thing that our Savior told us to follow up on.

Nehor, I realize that you are just lashing out. You resent being called "nebbish," and you resent getting teased about looking like a wanker. So, hey: no biggie. Adding "hypocrisy" to your list of descriptors really is no great matter.

If I resented you I would probably chase you up a tree and set fire to it, not resort to Internet insults.

I realize you're just lashing out because you resent that I pointed out that you spend a lot of time speculating about the masturbatory habits of younger men you've never met on the Internet.

Edit: I'm still waiting for you to check the comments under my dossier and update them with the more correct information I provided so that your blog can maintain it's truthiness.

harmony wrote:Why is a BYU professor the bishop over a UVSC ward?

Probably for the same reason that a retired postman and a retired military officer, neither of which had direct ties to BYU, were bishops of one of my BYU wards. While membership in university wards tend to be restricted to university affiliation (though not always), leadership positions (like ward bishoprics and stake presidencies) aren't. This holds true for university wards outside of Utah County (the bishop of my University of Washington ward was an institute director, and if I remember correctly, the stake president was the CEO for Earnst Hardware).

I hope this helps.

ZING!
One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

Your question presupposes motives (glass half empty?) that I don't view in the same that way that you do, so I can't rationally answer it as asked.

Agreed!
God . . . "who mouths morals to other people and has none himself; who frowns upon crimes, yet commits them all; who created man without invitation, . . . and finally, with altogether divine obtuseness, invites this poor, abused slave to worship him ..."

Oh? Then what were the motives, Wade?
