He/she "just doesn't like it."
JADAMS_4040:
Maybe you cannot understand my thinking, but i just do not beleive this stuff is appropriate for some reason i cannot accurately explain. I do not see the nessecity of it all, nor the purpose, nor the "supreme" being issue, i do not like the idea of symbols and ordinances, What are they for? what do they represent? Why are they nessacery? lots and lots of doubts and just not an overall good feeling of the whys, the wherefores, the history, and the practices. If they do not worship and follow a universal God, but rather a "supreme" being of the individuals choice, wheather they be muslim, atheist, or christian, then it seems to me someone is trying to have it both ways? God verses individualism. It simply does not sit right with me and i would never be able to accept this in my life in any manner. Me and my family have everything we need in the truths of l.d.s docrine and the confirmations thereof, the joy, happiness, many and great blessings from the lord, We are fed abundantly, there are no empty voids to fill, no inspirational aspirations either real or imagined that we search for. and therefore no need of beleiving in something that has no real purpose in Gods plan of happiness and eternal goals, freemasonry just seems to be full of very differant and weird rituals and many differant beleifs depending in what part of the world one might be a member. I don't have a good feeling about any of it. maybe this is a wrong feeling, but for me it is very real and sure. {if you or anyone else is a freemason, i,m sorry for telling it like i see it, but there is no other way}.
"... full of very different and weird rituals ..." Now what does that sound like?
