That is the only reason he has ever posted in forums such as this. They are aware of that there as all TBMs are here.

Tarski challenges people and gets them to question themselves and their notions of the world and their faith.

Mormondiscussions.com is the dumping ground for critics of the Church who will not endure civil, relevant, respectful debate or stay on topic once debate has began. Everyone knows the moderation policies at MAD, and they're really not that hard to follow.

You're respectful? No! You hijack almost every thread you enter with a diatribe about the frickin' 60's!

What MAD does not want to become, is another Mormondiscussions.com, which, if people like Tarski, and Scratch, and Harmony, and many others who make there home here because they will not abide the simple rules there, is precisely what it would become.

We have gone through an invasion from a anti-Mormon board. We seem to be having another invasion. We aren't interested in pages of complaining and insulting and we aren't interested in every weird thing a Mormon does that gets in a newspaper just because it is bad. If you are asked for documentation GIVE IT or stop arguing and get out of the thread. A bunch of posters better clean it up super fast or hit the cyber road.

No, they just want to sit around in a gigantic circle-jerk of self-congratulatory, single-minded narcissism. Won't be too long now; they just have to remove that "negative element" from their ranks.

I guess being banned is better than being gutted by the likes of Orrin Porter Rockwell. I wouldn't know about being banned, though. I left voluntarily after the thread in which holy TBMs were defending the blaming victims of child abuse for the part they played in what happened to them.

I KNOW! I just didn't understand why he would be banned because of his posts in that thread? I mean, they weren't disrespectful, they were on-topic -- there was someone else making comments to him that he was defending himself against. The other day LOAP was attacking Tarski and not a mod to be found.

Urgh. I don't understand why they want to lose their critics.

They are feeling overwhelmed there--obviously as we can tell from that earlier post where they said they had a low tolerance. I'm sorry they banned Tarski without letting him explain in PM that he hadn't seen the warning.

I was also surprised by CJC's boldness at posting his apology on the public thread after he'd been told not to post anymore. Personally, I take them at their word. If they say no more posts, that means "NO MORE POSTS". But CJ probably thinks he can get away with it. If Tarski had posted a public apology, he'd probably have been slapped for that too.

There are a number of critics of the Church and its beliefs that have been at the FAIR message boards for a number of years and who remain there. They have not been banned. Those that are banned are normally those who cannot, like yourself, abide civil, respectful, critical debate undertaken in good faith.

For those, there is this forum and others, like RFM, on the very fringes of intellectual and moral respectability.

Critics of the Church, like water, invariably seek their own level.
