I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably.

Yes it is, and there are thousands of similar catastrophes like the event it describes that are ignored or avoided by church leaders. I was particularly touched by this excerpt:

"The "hate the sin but love the sinner" platitude cannot disguise the fact that in reality the members of the Church are taught to loathe and fear our son and those like him. This qualified and synthetic "love" is nothing more than the few alms hurriedly and begrudgingly parted with to salve the Christian conscience, while never once entertaining the idea of actually descending into the leper pit."

A sad but true analysis of what really happens in the culture. Again, perhaps this meeting with Pres. Monson will be the beginning of inspiring love to conquer fear.
