I was going to respond to Athanasius (sp?) but frankly I'd rather settle down and watch the Champions' League match....once again soccer Trump's Jesus :/
Same here, but replace "Champions' League match" with "Rocko's Modern Life".
Old cartoons always Trump Jesus for me :)
Rocko? yeah right...Animaniacs!

I don't think I can talk to you anymore. It's one thing to be a heretic, but to degrade my favorite Wallaby, that is just crossing the line.
It's not that Rocko sucks...it's that he had such terrible supporting characters. I mean where were the Pinky/Brain's of RML? Pink and the Brain were soo good that they could carry the show when YW&D were off their A-Game (which was....NEVER!). Pinky and the Brain were so good they even spun off to their own show. The bedrock of those two main groups allowed the other characters to only make occasional appearances, allowing the cream to rise to the top (except for those damn hippos...I hated them).
As to RML....Heffer gave nothing. He was an empty suit despite his eating habits. The Bigheads were annoying. Filbert sucked in ways that only people who hate Woody Allen can understand. I mean Rocko and Spunky had to carry the whole damn show. Where was the rhythm guitarist of the show? There was none...Rocko was a heck of a soloist, but Freebird solo part J can only be played so long before you trade off to the rhythm man.

Err, no. Animaniacs are Yakko, Wakko and Dot. Rocko's Modern Life was a cartoon on Nick, If I recall correctly.
I do love those Animaniacs, though. Now where is my DVD set?
I know...see my above post (going completely on memory I remembered most of the characters...ah the future of America discussing cartoons. Oh yeah).

Agreed, he needed a better supporting cast.
Heffer is hit and miss, he can be pretty funny in some episodes. And the Filbert/Woody Allen comparison, I don't know how I've missed that. I am thoroughly impressed with your knowledge of old Nicktoons.
