I just want you to tell me how you yourself interpret the term "Father in Heaven", and how you would interpret the phrase "Only begotten Son".
Actually now that Kim is a Methodist shes probably using the NIV Bible which states "Only Son" and bastardises us all, so the point may in fact be moot.

Gaz, the idea that there are Gods or a God that comes down and seduces mortals is quite old. Traditionally God/gods were seen as sexual beings and I am just surprised that LDS have this same thought pattern.
I will not interpret that phrase, 'cause well, I'm not a Christian... yet, I'll tell you what mainstream Christians believe -- it was a miracle, and God is not a sexual being.
Your term "mortals" is inappropriate. This was one occasion. And it had been prophesied to occur from the time of Adam, when Adam was taught how his salvation would occur.
That some of his apostate offspring would switch the story around and create all manner of nonsence with it is not surprising.

You're not following me. Gods/God that came down to earth and had sex with mortal women is in many cultures predating Christ....
