I've thought about it and I think my horndoggery is accepted because I do as much reveling in the extreme intelligence of women as calling them hotties. See I know that Blixa and beastie are smarter than the dictionary and a quantum leap ahead of me...so I'd never argue with them cause I know they'd kick my ass all over this board. Same thing with liz, KA, Truthdancer, Jersey Girl. Moniker...I only argue with her about youtube.
Basically just don't argue with women. They're smarter than me...so what's the point? Actually I don't argue with anyone...why am I here?

Of course, to quote Jersey Girl, Yes, I've noticed it only on primarily LDS boards and only from LDS or ex-LDS men.
Do any of you happen to watch Hell's Kitchen? I watched the latest episode tonight where Jason (one of the male contestants) was talking about the current challenge of cutting a chicken into 8 pieces.
The whole season he has been so incredibly condescending to the women. "This is butchery, not house cleaning! If it were a 'doing the dishes' competition, I'd be worried." The men lost the challenge.
He is neither LDS nor ex-LDS.
I would imagine you women would find these statements just as demeaning?

If there's one thing I've learned from this board, it's that consensual sex with multiple partners is okay unless God commands it. - Abman

I hate that guy! He is awful! He's off the show now. These sentiments are ALLLL over the place, that's true. Yet, on the internet on the boards I've frequented I just don't see those sentiments.
Here's the way I think of it. The boards I frequent usually have people participating that are educated, professionals of some sort. The demeaning comments to women do NOT occur. Most LDS and ex-LDS on these boards are in the same spot -- educated and professionals of some sort. Yet, some of them really are quite chauvinistic and demeaning to women.

Hey, another HK fan!! Yay!!
I know, I LOATHED that guy! I swear nobody can be THAT stupid! He does realize he's on a COOKING show, right???
Anyways, back to the subject, do you see it more on MDB? Does the no-moderation style promote this kind of behaviour?
I'm guessing the other boards have much more strict moderating than here?

Do us a favor? Try not to refer to us as "you women". Thanks, sweetie.

I certainly meant no disrespect.

I'm the exception to that; I have a LOT of respect for women. In fact, I often bend them over a pedestal.
