It sounds to me like being single these days is rougher than it was for me.

I'm not saying that the homegrown girls there are necessarily hotter (they grow em pretty nice in KY by the way ;) but that LA (and probably NY, Miami, a few other places) draw hot girls looking for some sort of celebrity status (modeling, acting) so that one girl comes from a thousand rural towns means there's one
thousand extra hotties in SoCal.

Well, here's my notion on the Professor. If it makes GoodK happy and Gad happy and successful in relationships then go for it. If not, lose the advice.

Whoah! Hold on. I hope I didn't imply Tom's wisdom will make you or me successful in relationships, he's probably done mine a great deal of harm! It's somewhat akin to saying that Dr. Shades has made me successful in my search for God or that V. Lenin produced more dilligent employees. It might be unfortunate, after all, I did turn his show off within 5 minutes of listening the first few times, but he's right. It might suck, but, the truth is the truth. I can no more deny it than I can deny the sun at noon day. The truth is not always accomodating to one's preferences and dreams.

I agree about the truth not being accommodating. I'm just not that cynical -- perhaps, I should be.

Maybe I had a reaction to the advice 'cause I'm not out to use anyone. Perhaps, I need to grow up and accept that many others are? Marg is right, I'm still naïve. The man that is attempting to date me told me the other day that I am painfully naïve and at the same time worldly. Who knows.

Beautiful women bring drama with them. Not all of them, I've been with a fewreally awesome, drama-free girls, but most of the time and especially in the current situation, there is constant drama.

The "getting laid" part has never really been the problem, nor is it the most important part of a relationship to me.
I try to follow Tom's advice, but I enjoy companionship and relationships just as much as I enjoy sleeping with beautiful women. That may be my problem.

Part of your problem, if you consider you have problems, is that you are not the aggressive one in choosing women, you are allowing them to choose you. And you will accomodate them when they do. You do not appear to be taking on any self responsibility in mate selection. Don't be surprised if one day one of these women deliberately attempts to get pregnant to snag you. Have fun with all the drama.

S.. is only a big deal when you're not getting it. And, don't forget all the Hollywood stars and rock stars on drugs. Always got to keep things in perspective.
