Ex-Mormon Missionaries
I don't understand how someone can hang on to the belief that one specific religion is right, and the others are wrong. I decided Mormonism wasn't true when I realized the God myth wasn't true. I don't see much difference in Mormonism, other branches of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Catholicism. It's all equally silly, harmful, and false in my opinion.
If I had the opportunities that KA had I would give away copies of The End of Faith :)

I am trying to understand what you are saying. Do the LDS Missionaries give an unbalanced view of Mormonism? Is it wrong for them to not give "full disclosure"? Should they be leaving everybody with a copy of Rough Stone Rolling along with the Book of Mormon that they usually leave behind?
The disaffected often complain that the LDS Church was not above board, hid things, did not disclose historical facts. If an Exmo now feels it their duty to inform the unsuspecting they ought to do it in a way they wish the information about the Church would have been presented to them.
No the missionaries do not give a full fair and balanced view of Mormonism.
Yes they should.
I think a book like RSR should be part of the missionary lessons.
Exmo's who proselyte against the Church should be fair and balance as well.

What makes you think that that's NOT what KimberlyAnn is doing?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

KA this is wonderful to hear. You are an asset to society.
I have only assisted one person who did not join based on information I had given him. It was easy because he was a black man who had already questioned the mishies about the past racism and he did not feel good about their answers.
Yes it felt good both knowing I help a fellow human AND knowing it hurt LDS Inc.
What I share depends on the person and what they are asking. As little as the shifty first vision or as much a full meal deal complete with temple handshakes at the end.
I have not seen any missionaries in my neighborhood but if I do I will follow your example.
Perhaps someone could create a website that contains a repository of PDF "packets" and we exmo missionaries could download the applicable ones when we see the need in our communities.
Truth cuts it's own path.

If I were a never-Mo investigating Mormonism or a questioning member, I'd want someone to do exactly what I'm doing!
Thanks, Shades.

KA
Based on this and her lack of answering that she is doing what I suggest I simply conclude that she is not giving out information in an unbiased way.
I thought that would be what she wanted.
Apparently not.
Thus if KA it you complain in the future about the LDS Church whitewashing its information you will in my opinion be hypocritical in this. By giving only information with a negative spin you are as agenda driven as you think the missionaries are. Too bad. So often Exmo's become in the opposite that which they seem to disdain.

With the help of provided .pdf packets and strictly secular views of life as we know it, of course.

What makes you think she's giving out only information with a negative spin? I'll bet she's just giving out the undisputed historical facts.

"Undisputed historical facts" are non-existent.
Also, she said she has a packet prepared but won't post it here or provide it to us for our own reading. Why is that?

Let her tell us what she is giving out. I asked and she has not answered.
by the way, undisputed historical facts are never presented in unbiased way. You know that. Come on Shades.
