Hah! I was thinking of including something along those lines.

Put it this way: I was able to make it through 2g1c and only flinch a couple of times. I had to stop this video within a minute or so.

2g1c is viscerally appalling. The interview is emotionally painful to watch. Heart wrenching.

Yes. It represents the very embodiment of everything I've dedicated my life to fighting against.

Where are all the men?

In the media I have only seen crying mothers. Is the media just focusing on the mothers or are the men in hiding and not speaking out.

Another thing creepy about that video is the picture of Warren Jeffs in the background.

I've seen mothers fighting to get children back before verbally. Here we have: no tears, completely straight faces, glassy eyes, short direct and unemotional delivery of emotional lines, and stunted grammar when speaking (i.e. only responding in short declarative sentences).

Slightly off topic, but this reminds me of Oprah's foray into the men's and women's prisons.

When she went into the women's prisons, there much wailing and tears about missing their kids, and hoping their kids don't repeat their mistakes, blah blah blah.

Then in the men's prison, these men were 1 step away from savage animals. Barely under control.

Of course she failed to mention that it was a minimum security women's prison and a level 4, worst of the worst men's prison...but who needs information like that. As long as women are shown to be delicate and sensitive creatures and men are horrific beasts.

I sense some of that emotional female media manipulation going on here.

Most of these on-air interviews with the FLDS women suffer from the interviewers being really ill-prepared to ask the right questions.

Here are some of the questions I'd be having them ask:

1 - "I see you have a picture of Warren Jeffs on the wall behind you, and we see that a lot of the walls of several of the rooms in your buildings and homes. Are you aware of the fact that Warren Jeffs is in prison, and has resigned as President of your church and declared himself not to be a prophet?"

2 - "How old were you when you married your husband?"

3 - "What's the difference between a 'legal marriage' and a 'spiritual marriage' in your culture?"

4 - "You claim to be law-abiding citizens, yet you're practicing polygamy, which is illegal in the state of Texas and in the United States of America. How can you say you're not breaking the law?"

5 - "Do you know who your biological parents are?"

6 - "Were most of you raised in this church, or did some of you come in to join from the outside?"

7 - "What's the average number of wives that most men in your ranch has?"

8 - "Who delivers the babies for these preteen mothers?"

9 - "What are your feelings regarding the mainstream LDS Church headquartered in Salt Lake City?"

These women parse their words very carefully and almost never directly answer the questions put to them, but many of the questions are so badly phrased in these interviews that it's easy for them to get around them. It's hard to watch.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.

I couldn't finish it.

On the scale of 2g1c, to goatse, where would you rank the painfulness of this video?

Funny story: As the boss and the network guy, I have a catch-all email so any emails sent to our domain go to my inbox if they are addressed to an unavailable account. One of my mediocre employees decided to forward a link to 2G1C to another employee (on a company computer) but he mistyped the other employee's email address. So it got sent to my inbox. You should have seen the look on the poor guy's face when I explained what happened.

That's because whenever other questions are asked, the women say they are only interested in getting their children back. I remember it happening on CNN a couple weeks ago.
