One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

You're a GA? Really? You look a little young!

At the first sight of the title, "Historical" and "mystery" have mixed a little. I have read it as "hysterical Mormonism".

Help me, Freud!
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco
- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

I got to thinking about this while reading the 'Book of Mormon says no polyg' thread. It also says no secret combinations which as a definitionfit the profile fo the Calling and Election Made Sure process. One thing that I get is that the jole was on the common dupe.

Any long con works like this.

I say Historical Mormonism because the process changed over time and the motivations changed as well. Why does the LDS church use the same construction company to do most of the LDS corporations development work? Is there a bidding process? Who profits from this? If I am mistaken in this please specifically correct me.

What I am getting at here is the core nature within all secret organizations, a disdain for the rules and an insatiable urge to profit somehow from the misuse of power. Whether it be by getting tail or money obtained through a well connected clique of families who feed off of each others access to a cult.

What does having your call and election made sure (which since it's secret is not an effective way to get gain and glory of the world) have to do with Church building contracts? I think you're rambling....

It represents the "next level" of Mormonism, making past rules null and void and setting apart the individual as an elite, thus heightening the sense of entitlement. Read some Chomsky and repost in a month.

But I am one of the 'Mormon elite'. You're wrong.

How so? To be such a valuable asset and not share your experiences would be criminal.

Do tell us. I'll be holding my breath.

I've got a pedigree going back to Nauvoo and Utah. I'm pretty closely related to an Apostle and several Seventies. I'm related to a member of the local Temple Presidency, my father and grandfathers have held prominent Church positions throughout their lives. I think one day I will do similar things if prophecy can be trusted.

Why would I want to share my experiences with those who despise and/or seek to discredit what I've dedicated my life to? I've already made that mistake.

Ummm....okay. Can I lower your expectations of me even more by pointing out that my parents were rich and I'm on my way to the same? That fit your stereotype too?

Just trying to help but yeah, it's true. I'm just waiting though. Any day now I should get TONS of contracts from the Church. Any second now....
