How about I provide a real reason not to brag about it? See previous post.

Why do you feel this way? I think its just showing how different you perceive this topic when compared with mainstream society.
I don't discuss my toilet activities because it's embarassing. I don't brag about how big or how many stools I have. I don't talk about how many liters of urine I excrete. How silly.
Besides, you keep ragging on Nehor about it. Obviously you feel it's mockworthy.
Why are you comparing masturbation with excretory functions? This is another tell you give away as to how you perceive the healthy activity of masturbation. Its as if you feel it is dirty and filthy.

You consider masturbation a "toilet activity?" Well, that's explains your reaction very well. Personally, I try to keep sexual activities and toilet activities as separate as possible. I know there's a strange fetish that exists that mixes the two, but that's something I really don't understand at all. Are you revealing something about yourself here?
And you thought I was bragging about it? What's there to brag about? It's not difficult to do. Perhaps you wonder how I can do it without any associated guilt?
I have to say, your reaction is really quite fascinating, and provides commentary on just how distorted the church makes of this very natural act.

Well, coprophilia is real!
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

Using the toilet is a healthy activity too. The point isn't that it's dirty. The point is that it's supposed to be private.

Coggins, my comments were mainly in regards to YOU -- not masturbation. Work on the reading comp, would ya?

Did anyone talk about how they do it? I don't see how mentioning the fact that you do something like masturbate exactly constitutes the exposing of something private, especially when it's not exactly surprising. If it's so terrible to admit it, why do church leaders ask about it in TR interviews? It's one thing to say you have sex. It's another if you describe how.
I believe you'd have a solid point if someone here were describing all the details.

Thanks. The reason I asked is because my younger brother, who also married rather young, likes to make a lot of jokes about masturbation, as if he's beyond it now that he has an outlet. I understand that your posts were in response to Merc, but I don't think there is anything embarassing about mentioning whether one masturbates. This was and still is one of my biggest issues with the church. Its teachings instilled a great sense of guilt and embarassment in me regarding sexual issues. I'm better now, thanks to some counseling, but I worry about my nephews and the crap they'll have to endure regarding these harmful teachings. I don't consider masturbation a sin or an embarassment and it concerns me when others do.

Or how often--unless, of course you're talking with a physician or maybe your significant other.
I must have missed where someone mentioned a number, other than when beastie said it needed to be more than five times a week. Even if someone did, it's still not the same as going into the "hows" of the act.
Are you stuck in condemnation mode, or are you able to examine why this topic seems to make you so uncomfortable? And before you give the common knee-jerk reaction, it's a cop out to say god/Bible/church/faith/prophet told me it's wrong, because you aren't providing an answer that you've actually taken the time to think through yourself. It's one thing to believe it; it's another to understand why.
