KA said: I also feel that folks taking the missionary discussions deserve the whole story about Mormonism... so when I notice the missionaries visiting homes in my neighborhood more than a few times, I drop off pertinent information to those families. I've knocked on the door of a complete stranger before....
When sharing such knowledge to "complete strangers" who have been visited by missionaries "more than a few times", it would seem extremely unlikely that one could (or would) know their level of investment. A lot can happen after a few visits. A lot can happen before one even notices the first visit. I mean no offence to KA, and I am sure that she has good intentions in what she does. I just wanted to voice a word of caution to be careful, sensitive, and tactful when sharing the “knowledge” that we believe we have. That is all that I am saying.

Three qualities that KA has in spades!!
Now if B&L, Merc or Infy were passing this out, you might have a point.

A spoiler alert would have been nice. Thanks a lot, everyone.

Well, as long as we've ruined it for you anyways, we might as well go all the way.
Mormonism isn't true either.
Sorry, man. It's hard growing up.

As promised I took a look at the Packham web page.
As to Dr Shades first question about is there anything I could say was not factual. No it is full of facts and most look fairly accurate.
But my point is facts can be spun and presented any way one wishes to present them. This web page does that. It presents the facts mostly with a negative spin and provides links to web sites that are even more negative. There is not one link that would take a controversial issue and sens someone to an apologetic site that gives the positive spin.
Facts cannot be presented in a vacuum. The site would be better if it said "Here are the controversial issues that you won't hear from the Mormon missionaries. List them out give views that reflect them some of them negatively and give views that give a fair and rational positive view. Be fair, be balanced then let the person decide. I know the Church and missionaries don't do this either. Heck they don't even bring up most these issues and most missionaries don't know about them and cannot address them. But this web site is not balanced nor do I guess are Kim's packets of information. Sorry but that is how I see it.

Good. Then KA's documentation is also full of facts which look fairly accurate.

THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT. KA has explicitly stated that she deleted all the commentary. IN OTHER WORDS, she eliminated any and all "spin." ONLY THE FACTS REMAIN, not the spin.
Are we finally on the same page?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
Trevor wrote:I guess I am left somewhat puzzled as to what it is that KA owes the LDS Church. When the LDS Church sends its missionaries out to recruit people by giving them a fraction of the facts concerning their religion, why can't she go out and provide them some of the information the LDS Church does not offer? If the LDS Church's version is all sunshine and roses, why should she spend time giving them the same rosy picture? Something needs to balance out the filtered, unrealistically positive version the missionaries provide. It is, after all, a huge commitment to make on precious little information, such as the scraps provided in the missionary materials.
The fact that the Church does not disclose stuff does not make is ok for the other side to be as unbalanced.
