What if the denizens of Shady Acres dropped their MB personae, for just a moment, and shared some candid moments together?
RUN "anti-stereotype"
What if Coggins7 really isn't an allegedly-addled and vehement anti-anti, but rather a sweet and LDS-faithful guy with his own none-of-your-business items on his plate?
What if Harmony doesn't really disagree with everything Mormon while still holding faithfully and admirably to her hard-won Mormon faith tradition?
What if Some Schmo really deeply cares about Mormons and isn't really, primarily, or merely here for the sheer entertainment value MD affords him?
What if cksalmon had something substantive to say (this requires the biggest leap of faith, I'd wager)?
What if opponents had a nice chat here, in this thread, whilst leaving their respective personae at the door?
What if this thread didn't (in proleptic counterfactual fashion) die a relatively painless and quick death?
This is not a plea for feigned consent to a foreign worldview. It's just an opportunity to, perhaps, I dunno, say something genuinely-nice about one's perceived nemesis(es), interact without person-to-person ideological baggage, be transparent, or just establish some lines of future communication.
This thread does not invite or ask you to change who you are. It's just an opportunity to be who you are right now, but without the usual baggage associated with posting here as "The MDB Me."
I'll get the ball rolling (as a traditional Protestant Christian) with the fact that I frankly doubt that the sun stood still for Joshua.
You got genuine questions for other posters? Ask them here. They might answer.
This is especially meant for anonymous posters (I'm not one) who won't have to face any potential repercussions based on their interactions here. That's not an invitation to post controversially, either. Just a general invite to have some meaningful and personable exchanges with some other folks here that might usually draw your knee-jerk ire.
Let me start again: Coggs, have you thought about some form of independent, third-party counseling? (I do so much dislike the liberties some take with your openness regarding your current affliction.)
Cksalmon, what do you do with your doubts? Do you shelve them, examine them, acquiesce to them, deny them?
Curious minds want to interact with other minds, I think.
Chris
Gentlepersons, I present you with a unique opportunity...
