Arent all of our geneology records available to anyone in the world who wishes to view them online?
don't geneology societies all over the world love the fact that we tie families together by placing all of these records together in one place?

Yes, but Not after it is revealed to them what the Mormon church intends to do with their ancestor's names.
This is what amuses me about so many of the posts over on MADB on this topic--they assume they're doing the favor, rather than being intrusive, and miss the point entirely. It isn't just about genealogical work; if it were, it's unlikely a major denomination like the Catholic Church would object.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.
