Serious question: How to prevent temple ordinances on dead?

Post by _Boaz & Lidia »

Is it possible to prevent the zealous temple monkeys from using a specific name in their stupid temple ceremonies for the dead?

Is it possible to request a name removal of a deceased person who was only baptized?

Yes, destroy all references to the person's life. Kill anyone who may know their name or has ever heard of them. Break into and destroy all government, financial, and personal records that mention them. Then, since you probably knew them, kill yourself.

Short of direct revelation this will keep them out of the Temple until the Millenium. Let us know how it goes.

I would guess that barring baptisms for the dead would have to be part of a broader strategy that would forbid masses for the dead, prayers for the dead, invoking the memory of the dead, and, perhaps, thinking of the dead altogether.

I'm sorry I show no sympathy for a hateful zealot's crusade to keep someone's name from being mentioned in what he perceives as a mindless sham ceremony. Think of it this way PP. As long as people are doing pointless ordinances in the Temple they're not out converting the world. Should be a win for you.

Jersey Girl, PP knows there is no way to do what he is asking. If there were it would have been trumpeted to the entire anti world and dedicated people would be hard at work making sure no ordinances could be done. It was not a serious question.

First off, where in the hell do you see a "crusade"? I see two questions in the OP, marked "serious". Your response to two serious questions is to post sick jokes.

Just who is the hateful zealot? PP or you and your damn sick jokes?

Thanks.

This is concerning my sister. She recently died after a life of depression brought on by years of sexual abuse.

The Mormon church allowed her to be abused by our father and now she will be abused again in the name of keeping tithes rolling in.

LDS Inc has no shame.

I gave him the only "serious" answer he's going to get other then the answer that there is no way. Admittedly it was kind of silly since he's unlikely to be willing and/or able to fulfill all the requirements. Still, sometimes reality is damn sick and can be a joke.

Up late there Bishop?

Shouldn't you be prepping a condescending sermon for your vile non BYU single adult ward?

What does it matter? It doesn't hurt you or anyone else, but it does make the Utah LDS people feel better about themselves for doing it and there really isn't anything wrong with that, is there?
"… Do you believe Jesus Christ and the gospel of salvation which he revealed? So do I. Christians should cease wrangling and contending with each other, and cultivate the principles of union and friendship. I am just as ready to die defending the rights of a Presbyterian, a Baptist, or a good man of any other denomination." Joseph Smith jr. Sermon, 1843
