Jason,
Have I told you lately how much I respect, honor, enjoy, and flat out love you? What a great example of an LDS man you are.

Coming from Harmony, and given the posts above, this is a clear, unambiguous example of the real nature of cafeteria Mornomism and where it leads.
Oh, how trendy, how fashionable, and how cynical.
Feel better now Jason, now that Harmony's on your side?

I've always been on Jason's side, Loran. And Liz's. And anyone else's who lives as best they can in a world turned upsidedown. And I'm finally comfortable there. You, on the other hand, aren't comfortable there, so it's probably not a good match for you. I'm not sure where you're comfortable, since you haven't been going to church for a long time, but when you find it, I hope it's everything you want it to be. I was in church today, Loran. Were you?

What do you call a Mormon who conveniently omits the "forsake the sin" step in repentance? A cafeteria repenter?
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Now now Coggins. Be nice
No to answer your quesiton, no I do not care whether Harmony is on my side at all. I gave some well thought out reasons about what I did not like about Sister Beck's talk and why. If you would like to discuss that feel free. If you can be civil about it I will discuss back.
really I have though a lot about this. Not too many years ago I would have said rah rah too all the comments in her talk. In fact, I agree with much of it really if it were presented in such a way to avoid a one dimensional portrait of what a faithful woman who KNOWS looks like. Through real life experience I have seen the discouragement and sometimes depression trying to live up to such a picture cause in our good sisters. So yes, I think over all it was a talk that was not healthy or spiritually nurturing to the sisters of the Church.
Feel free to disagree and tell me why. But if you are nasty about it my only response will be to remind you of Galatians 5:22-23. This is I hope the theme I can have in all my interactions here with others even with ones who annoy and anger me.

I've always been on Jason's side, Loran.
I know, and he's always been on your side, because he is, for all intents and purposes, an apostate, just like you (but that doesn't mean he's a bad person), even though he's still in the cafeteria, while you're feasting at the Hotel Babylon.
I'm not sure where you're comfortable,
In a Zion society.
since you haven't been going to church for a long time,
Since you go to Church for the sole purpose of destroying its internal integrity...
(note: you don't have the faintest idea when the last time was I went to church. Care to elucidate?)
but when you find it, I hope it's everything you want it to be. I was in church today, Loran. Were you?
NO Harmony, you were NOT in church today. You may have been in the building, but you were not in church.
Keep up the pose, I see you for what you are.

Actually, it feels more like the Hotel California. You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.

I doubt that. A Zion society has little use for anyone with weaknesses of the flesh, unless they're leaders, of course, and then they're canonized.

I at least go to church, Loran. You're the one who said you were inactive.
(note: you don't have the faintest idea when the last time was I went to church. Care to elucidate?)
Well, if you're considered inactive, that would be sometime prior to the last quarter.
but when you find it, I hope it's everything you want it to be. I was in church today, Loran. Were you?
NO Harmony, you were NOT in church today. You may have been in the building, but you were not in church.
Well, my bishop shook my hand, so maybe he wasn't in church either. And the bishop of the neighboring ward shook my hand too, and asked if things were well with my MIL, and I reported that they were, but maybe he wasn't in church either. There sure were a lot of people in church who weren't in church, but rather were just in the building. We're all sinners here, Loran. And at least we were in the building.
Keep up the pose, I see you for what you are.

No, you don't. According to Dan, you don't know diddly squat about me. You've never met me, you don't know anyone who knows me, you've never read my published works (though I'm still in a fog about why that matters), you don't know anyone who works with me, and you sure as heck don't know my family. So you don't see whatever it is that you think you see. (which is probably a good thing for both of us.)

Actually, apostasy from the truth is much like marriage: you can leave any time you want, but you can never forget...

Correct. People in a Zion society would have overcome and relinquished many of the weaknesses of the flesh that plague those in a non-Zion society. Get over it.
I at least go to church, Loran. You're the one who said you were inactive.
You're a traitor and a mole for the secular society. Well, at least you go though church..
Well, my bishop shook my hand, so maybe he wasn't in church either.
So does mine. Yours, however, doesn't have, as of yet, the slightest idea regarding who and what you really are.

And I never will know anything about you, so long as you remain an anonymous provocateur.
