Aside from that, have I (and the authorized citations I shared) incorrectly stated LDS doctrine? Does or does not true repentance, under LDS theology, require abandoning the behavior?


You don't even understand basic LDS doctrine. What the hell (or "heck" in North Ogden lingo...)

Since you understand LDS teachings better than anyone else here, but your own estimation, this should not be a difficult question to answer.


I have made no such claim.

Coggins probably will avoid answering this question, because he knows the answer creates problems for him. Yes, abandoning the behavior is a prerequisite for true repentance under LDS theology. So if Coggins repeats the behavior yet again, and his own post seems to indicate recognition that he will likely do so (time for periodic apology yet again), we will know that his repentance was insincer

Do you really imagine no one notices how carefully you avoid the actual issue? So answer yes or no:

Is it part of LDS theology that true repentance must include forsaking the sin?
