David Cook will win this thing no problem. Hes been consistently good with every performance.

Performing Billie Jean (Awesome performance) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_aiawC-9aM

I liked Brooke as well, but I never thought she would win the whole thing. She was really good though.

Let it be. Her best performance (short bio shown before ) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k68_t4yOQSQ

Yeah, David Cook rocks. Is he better than Daughtry? What do you think?

Well, given that I think David Cook is the best performer ever to grace the A.I. stage, I'd say absolutely, he's better than Chris. Of course, I also think Chris's album sucks bid fat ones, so there's that. It's monotonous generic rubbish. I think Bo Bice was/is better than Chris too.

Judge:"Brook, that was just an awful performance."
Brook: "I know, it was really bad. I'm sorry."
Judge: "You need to sing with more conviction. Your notes are flat-"
Brook: "I was thinking the same thing while I was performing! Isn't it 'special' how we are on the same page?"
Judge: "I was not impressed with how you changed 'New York' for 'Arizona' in that last performance. I know it makes the song yours, but it stuck out like a sore thumb."
Brook: "You are so right! But Neil Diamond made me do it!"

You perfectly articulated what I couldn't stand about her here.

liz talking about Brooke wrote:I think she has a solid career in country music no matter what. She's no Carrie Underwood, but she is good.

liz, darling, you know I love you, but holy crap, this quote made my hair hurt.

Do you really think she has a career in country? Maybe, but then, it doesn't seem as though people who like country have very discriminating tastes. Look at the fact that Carrie Underwood has done so well, which brings me to the second thing about your post that's painful... you actually like Carrie? Ugh. She is the Brittany Spears of country music. They should name a vacuum after her, she sucks so much. If she's one of the best that country has to offer, no wonder country is so terrible.

She'd be a lot more attractive if she kept her mouth closed; that much is certain.

Carrie has a pretty voice. She does not have a big voice. She doesn't have pipes like Reba McIntyre or Loretta Lynn, but I do like the quality of her voice. I think I like it because it is not "twangy".

Brooke's voice does push the "twangy" side, but if she were properly trained, she really does have potential. I was very impressed with her performance of "Let it Be". She has a beautiful natural vocal line.

That being said, she was NOT the best singer on the show, and I never expected her to win. But, yes, I do think she has a career if she wants one.

Carly should have taken it, hands down. I think the judges were harder on her because she did have a professional record that didn't do very well. That girl can sing! I would like to see her do Broadway. I think she would be amazing.

Of the singers that are left, Syesha has the most technically proficient voice. I don't understand why the judges are so hard on her. I have loved everything she has done. She could be the next Whitney.

I love David Cook because he's different. His voice has a very soulful, traditional rock quality.

And, even though we disagree, Schmo, I still love you! ;)

Carly needed to go because she already had her "shot". She had a record deal a few years ago, and what's the point of American Idol if the winner gets a second record deal? She'd been "discovered", it didn't work out. Cry me a river.

Brook needed to go after "I'm a Believer". I hope she has a career as a singer/ songwriter, and I'm glad she made it as far as she did. Jason should have gone before she did, but her awful performance helped Jason hang on until tomorrow night.

Syesha, David C and David A are a great top 3. If Jason outlasts Syesha, it will be a miracle (since I would hope some of the Brad Wilcox vote would shift to Syesha and not David A). Syesha should plant roots in broadway and become a star.

David C needs to lose. He's a rocker, and winning a popular talent contest would be the kiss of death (not to mention that few A.I. winners have had such hot careers as it is.) But to "lose" after getting weeks of exposure to millions of fans would give him the credibility to do his own thing. Losing was the best thing that ever happened to Chris Doughtry (and, as discussed in a recent Entertainment Weekly article, he's still stuck with middle aged female A.I. fans flocking to his concerts instead of primarily rock fans.)

David A will win, unless God is mad that his dad appeared on a national television show wearing his garment top (in one of David A's bio clips). If he could survive flubbing the Beatles lyrics, he must be untouchable. I wish we could see how the votes are split, because I wouldn't be surprised if he is ahead of the others every week by a huge margin.

Then again, I've never called in a vote, so who am I to say anything?
