The chat feature at Mormon.org no longer available?

Post by _Bond...James Bond »

The chat feature (where one could chat with a missionary) appears to be gone. Can anyone find it?

That's what I was thinking.

The chat link from the main page is disabled, but have you tried this?

http://www.Mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/ask ... /chat-live

It may be that they only want people who have waded through the preceding pages ....

Won't connect for me. I'm using the SeaMonkey browser, though.

The server it tries (and fails) to connect to is rc1.mtc.BYU.edu.

That means that they are putting up kids in the MTC with no experience of life or anything else much to chat to all comers online? What a great way to represent the One True Church!

Hmm...now you have to provide an email address. Didn't think you had to do that.

Their initial optimism was overshadowed by their lack of Boaz awareness.

Heres a story hot off the Wire:

Sister Molly, a 23 year old in-the-closet feminist looking to avoid boys from her junior year at BYU has recently been released as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When reached for comment she remarked how she immediately grew physically ill while reading a site detailing testimonies of statutory rape by Joseph Smith.

While in the MTC, a highly structured brainwashing camp, a smuggled Iphone was her bridge out of the cult and now she can go on to live a normal life finishing up her masters and vaging out with the bull dykes at an eastern college. Grainy videos from a UPS store somewhere around the Bay Area later confirmed the source of the Jesus Phone, a humble man on a second mission.

Apple: Its a religion powers of ten more useful than Mormonism.

It connects for me, but as Bond mentioned, it wants an email address. But I'm not giving it to them. I've no interest in chatting with missionaries. Well, unless they knock on my door. I'd be more than happy to chat with them then.
